On July 31st, we successfully closed out the first year of this Pilot Program.  Year 1 witnessed a remarkable 450% increase in ridership, growing from 400 rides in month one to 1,800 rides by the end of the July. 

Year 2's program will start in September 2024. We're gearing up to continue making WAV transportation accessible for everyone!

Changes occurring in Year 2 will include: 

  • All rides available will shift to full 

  • $3.00 ridership charge (Rider must pay the driver the $3.00 fee in cash. Drivers will not carry change)

  • Rides will be available in Zones 1 and 2 

  • Service will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (no weekends currently)

  • Access for All is a program that provides assisted transportation to individuals who need a wheelchair-access vehicle (WAV) to accommodate limited mobility or other limitations. The service operates in several zones in Los Angeles County. Butterfli operates the service

  • The cost is $3.00 per person for a one-way ride. Round Trip rides are $6.00. Some customers who qualify for public assistance may qualify for a free ride. Rider must pay the driver the $3.00 fee in cash. Drivers will not carry change.

  • The program will launch on September 23, 2024.

  • The program operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • You are qualified if you need a WAV or assisted transportation because you have limited mobility or need help traveling. You must have limited mobility, which requires you to use a mobility device such as a walker, cane, or wheelchair.
